‘Kingfisher’ Vase |
|
The ‘Kingfisher’ vase is a limited edition of 50 same as the ‘Night Owl’ and ‘Hawk’, Standing 7 inches high and 4.5 inches wide. A blue base glass is used and the water is shaped into the lower part. Green, brown and gold leaves hang from black vines and branches, the Kingfisher is then hand painted by Terri L Colledge in powdered glass as are the bull-rushes and reeds before a last firing. In the main photograph the vase has a light directed from above, giving the effect of the moons reflection. Engraved on the base, Okra, 2003, 11/50 and signed by both Master Glass Maker Richard P Golding and the painter Terri L Colledge. |
